Alingsås Energi, in collaboration with IALD, invites applications from passionate lighting designers interested in leading the 2024 Lights in Alingsås workshop and festival.
The event, held in Alingsås, Sweden, spans a month and features an immersive lighting design workshop in late September. Led by experienced workshop heads, participants create lighting installations showcased to the public for five weeks.
Through hands-on guidance using sketches, photographs, and mock-ups, workshop heads facilitate a comprehensive learning experience in lighting design.
Diversity matters: Workshop heads represent various genders, ages, and nationalities. Six sites annually require a workshop head, and pairs of designers can apply together, splitting costs.
Selected heads must attend two on-site meetings in Alingsås, Sweden:
1. Concept Meeting (site selection): March 21 to 24, 2024
2. Workshop: September 26 to October 5, 2024

Applications are open to IALD members and non-members, but applicants must have an IALD website account to apply. Applicants should provide:
