The UK government has initiated a consultation on the most significant revisions to the WEEE regulations in more than a decade. The proposed changes encompass the introduction of producer-financed curbside WEEE collections for householders, increased takeback obligations for retailers, and fresh requirements for online marketplaces. Additionally, the government is seeking input on potential alterations to WEEE collections for B2B end users. The consultation period concludes on March 7th.
