“Women in Lighting” is a global digital platform showcasing women in the lighting and lighting design field. On December 3, 2023 at LDI, Ebony Madry will moderate a session featuring presentations by Emily Bornt, Ellen Kuklinski, and Lauren King. This project, initially in architectural lighting, has expanded to embrace various lighting design forms. It emphasizes the significant role women play in shaping lighting design, offering support and encouraging diversity in the field. The event concludes with a meet-up sponsored by Ayrton and ACT Entertainment, fostering networking among LDI attendees. Martin Lupton and Sharon Stammers, the founders, highlight the profession’s supportive nature and the diverse pathways for women to enter the industry.
