Oslo, Norway, 29 November 2023 – Glamox AS (GLX), one of the world’s leading lighting companies, has appointed Terje Løken (48) as its first Chief Digital Officer. Løken joins Glamox on 1 February 2024 with responsibility for driving and developing the company’s commercial technology and innovation strategy, and overall internal IT function. Based at the company’s headquarters in Oslo, he will report directly to Astrid Simonsen Joos, Group CEO of Glamox.
“I’m excited to welcome Terje to Glamox. In this new role he will be responsible for the Group’s digital innovation strategy and further strengthening our light management systems and connected lighting capabilities. This includes developing a data services strategy to maximise the use of data acquired by our luminaires and connected lighting systems. We are now seeing a wider uptake of wireless smart lighting for commercial buildings and marine and offshore markets. This is due to the ability to generate even more energy savings and work smarter,” said Simonsen Joos.
Terje brings a wealth of commercial digital and software-as-a-service (SaaS) experience. He joins Glamox from Cognite, the industrial software and services company, where he was Head of Product Management and Senior Vice President with global responsibility for the company’s SaaS product strategy and roll-out.
Prior to Cognite, Terje was Executive Vice President at Storebrand, the financial services company, where he held increasingly senior positions over a 13-year period, including Chief Digital Officer, Head of Digital Channels and IT, and Chief Architect (CTO). Whilst there he developed a reputation for leading cross-functional teams to drive growth through the application of new technology and digital services.
Before that, Terje spent nearly seven years at Fast Search and Transfer, the data search and business intelligence company, where he worked on developing the company’s mission-critical, large-scale enterprise search engine.
Terje is a board member and the Chairman of Enonic, a leading Norwegian SaaS content management services platform.
