Innovative lighting specialist, WILA Lighting, has unveiled its plans for 2023 after experiencing significant growth over the last 12 months.
Throughout 2022, WILA launched numerous products and initiatives, under the leadership of CEO Matt Vogel, who also oversaw the expansion of WILA into the US market. This move has allowed its cutting-edge and innovative product portfolio to be specified in an increasing number of North American projects.
This growth was facilitated by WILA’s affiliation with Experience Brands; a group of progressive, established, global lighting companies that work very closely with their specific markets. The group’s goal is to bring together the experience, capacity and expertise of the individual businesses to accommodate even the most demanding projects, all while delivering exceptional service.
Back in the UK, WILA continued with its legacy of supporting the community close to its headquarters in Oxfordshire. Giving back to the local area is an important part of the culture at WILA – at the start of each year, employees decide by committee which local charity will receive its support for the year ahead.
The charity of choice for 2022 was Helen & Douglas House. The team raised an impressive £2,702 for the local children’s hospice, through the completion of the gruelling 3 Peaks challenge in September.
For 2023, the WILA team has voted to be a corporate fundraiser for Be Free Young Carers. This is the only charity in Oxfordshire devoted to improving young carers’ well-being and opportunities, through the provision of recreational, emotional and social support.
WILA Lighting has further demonstrated its expansion with the appointment of five new team members. Bonnie Rosser has joined as Customer Service Advisor; Marcos Duch as Product Designer; Maria Albanese is the new HR Assistant; Abi Whattingham joins as Senior Finance Assistant; while David Walters has been appointed as WILA’s Sales Director.
Matt Vogel, Chief Executive Officer at WILA Lighting said: “2022 was a great year for WILA as we expanded into the US and saw fantastic levels of growth, all while developing our people. This comes with a huge step up in terms of brand recognition and awareness, which has meant we are in a better position than ever before to have our award-winning, innovative solutions specified into a plethora of more and more exciting projects.
“While we now operate internationally, we’re also passionate about helping the local community where our company roots lie. This is why our fundraising efforts to support Oxfordshire based charities remain close to our heart.”
